All About ATV Safety
Get The Facts About Staying Safe On Off Road TrailsRiding ATVs is fun, exciting, and most of all safe. For everyone beginner to expert, getting off road is a great part of any vacation in the mountains. Here are some quick tips for keeping it fun on your four wheeler for you whole trip...
- Wear a helmet and other protective gear. Helmets are required equipment at Burning Rock.
- Don't ride on public roads. We're an off road park, so no worries there. However, we do have a few public road crossing points. Always stop to look and listen for traffic before crossing, and cross at a 90 degree angle.
- Don't ride under the influence. Alcohol or other drugs and ATVs don't mix, and we will revoke your permit if you break the rules.
- Don't ever carry a passenger on a single-rider ATV. We rent two-seater ATVs, as well as UTVs (side-by-sides).
- Ride an ATV that's appropriate for your size.
- Parental Supervision is required for riders younger than 16. Burning Rock rental vehicles can only be driven by guests with valid driver's licenses.
- Only ride on marked trails, and always ride at a safe speed. All closed trails at Burning Rock are marked as closed.
Mud, Rocks, Trees, Water, Flowers, And Dirt. Or, Y'know, Sand.
