Relive History, Coal Camp Getaways

Experience history and enjoy the comforts of home.

Coal has a long and storied history in the mountains that surround Burning Rock Outdoor Adventure Park. It helped shape the history of the United States, providing fuel for the Industrial Revolution.

You have always been able to read about coal history and life in the coal camps of West Virginia. Now you can also live it.

Plan a visit to an original coal camp house, located in the coal mining town of Slab Fork. These beautiful restored vacation cottages offer a piece of history with modern day amenities.
